The purpose of this study is to investigate, understand and analyze the role and position of Village Consultative Body ( BPD ) in the village administration under Law No. 6 of 2014 About the Village and the constraints faced by the BPD to be faced in the village administration under Law No. 6 2014 About Village .
The scope of this research include the role and position of BPD at the village administration under Law No. 6 of 2014 About the Village and the constraints faced by the BPD to be faced in the village administration under Law No. 6 of 2014 About the Village .
The method used in this study descriptive analytical method , which is a way to solve the problem or answer the problem at hand, is done with the path of the collection, classification, data analysis which concluded with the aim to create a picture of a situation objectively. and the approach used by the author is the normative juridical approach that prioritizes legal research examines how library materials or materials called secondary data in the form of positive law .
Based on the results of this study concluded that the position of Village Consultative Body (BPD) changes, if previously BPD is an element of the government is now a village institution. Of the function of the law turned into a political function. Now, the function of which is to channel the aspirations of BPD, APBDes plan, and supervise the village government. While the task is to organize village meetings (musdes) with participants including heads of villages, village groups, and community leaders. The number of participants depends on the situation of each village conditions. Village meetings serve as a venue for community and discuss any policy of the village. Constraints that will be faced by the BPD in the village administration in carrying out its duties and functions after establishment of Act No. 6 of 2014 About the Village include: BPD not understand the assignment and principal. For the perceived need for, debriefing, counseling for BPD, both from academics, district, or assigns. Recruitment of BPD. Usually the members of BPD comes from the pickup, there is rarely an interest to register as BPD, and payroll, as BPD does not get a salary as head of the village and devices. This includes one of the factors that led to the BPD does not run the duties and functions well. Any activities undertaken BPD need to use the funds, but there is no budget allocation for it.
Suggestions submitted from the research is for BPD Act No. 6 of 2014 About the Village is expected to be a weapon that is capable of running basic BPD and functions well. And for the performance of duties and functions of the perceived need for BPD, debriefing, counseling for BPD, both from academics, district, or assigns.
